First Nations bursaries

Page Content

Melbourne Grammar School is proud to offer places dedicated for First Nations secondary school level students as part of our School-wide First Nations Program. These bursaries reflect our desire to create a learning environment that values First Nations culture and promotes a sense of belonging for First Nations students in our School.

Students awarded an First Nations Bursary are required to board at Melbourne Grammar School.

What our bursaries provide

Our First Nations Program provides up to 12 Indigenous bursaries, which cover a significant part of the cost of tuition and boarding. Recipients also receive specialist academic, cultural and pastoral support throughout their time at School.

Who can apply?

First Nations bursaries are available to all secondary students. While our main intakes are at Years 7 and 9, there may be opportunities at other year levels if places become available.

How to apply

To apply, complete our First Nations bursary application form [PDF 75KB].

All applications are reviewed by our First Nations Program Manager. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted to discuss their application and invited to attend an entrance test at the School. They may also be invited to meet with the Headmaster.
