Access Scholarships enable very able students to attend Melbourne Grammar, regardless of financial circumstances. Each of these scholarships have usually been established through a generous gift by one or more benefactors.
Individual arrangements for each scholarship vary – please see the table below.
Students that apply for our Annual Scholarships will have the opportunity to indicate if they wish to be automatically considered for any available Access scholarships.
These scholarships are means tested with shortlisted applicants being required to provide evidence of family financial circumstances.
Students who are studying on a student visa are ineligible for these scholarships.

John Herbert Wall Scholarship | 50% remission of annual tuition fees | Year 7 or 9 entry Day and boarding students |
Michelmore Family Scholarship | 80% remission of annual tuition fees | Year 7 and Year 9 entry Day and boarding students Students with strong skills/potential in Mathematics or Science |
Ralph and Barbara Ward-Ambler Scholarship | Up to full remission of annual tuition fees | Year 7 or 9 entry Students with a strong skill in Mathematics |
