Academic support

Page Content

A generous staff-to-student ratio allows us to offer a true community of care for every student that fosters the academic excellence that is part of our School culture. For boarders, the work of classroom teachers is enhanced by the expertise of boarding staff and the strength of our pastoral care program

Dedicated support staff

All boarding staff have an academic connection to the School, normally as a teacher. The academic supervision they provide includes:

  • monitoring and promoting academic progress
  • providing a point of contact between home and school
  • providing academic support in their specialist areas

Students are required to take part in scheduled study (homework) periods each week day.

Classroom teachers often visit boarding houses to provide additional support with critical tasks such as VCE preparation.

My study habits and ability to get work done became much better when I started boarding here. Everyone studies at the same time. It makes it a good learning environment.
