Our boarding precinct has a fully equipped on-site health centre with registered nurses available 24/7, along with specialist staff focused on particular aspects of student health and well-being.
Boarders also have access to the School Doctor who attends a weekly clinic and is available out of hours for any accident or emergency.
The role of our nurses
Our registered nurses are important members of the pastoral care team. Along with providing medical care, nurses assist and advise the Heads of House by helping to monitor each student’s well-being.
Our nursing staff also have responsibility for many day-to-day tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the Houses, including managing students’ medical, dental and physiotherapy appointments and records, and placing chemist orders.
The School Nurses maintain up-to-date confidential medical records for all boarders.
Other health support staff
Our Wellness Coordinator proactively provides guidance to boarders about health, fitness, and nutrition. Students also have access to our Counselling Team and School psychologist, along with a school doctor who attends a weekly clinic and is available out of hours for any accident or emergency. Our staff can arrange for boarders to see their own GP if necessary.
