Review our vacant positions and select a specific position to learn more about the position.

Read through the advertisement and job description, taking the time to understand the requirements and your suitability for the role.

Submit your resume and cover letter electronically, ensuring both are specific to the position you are applying for.
Make sure you have read and agreed to Melbourne Grammar School’s Employment Collection Policy, Privacy Policy and Child Safety Statement before submitting your application.
Include the details of three referees to help speed the process up if you are successful in final stages. We will only contact referees with your permission.

Confirmation
You will receive an email confirmation within minutes that your application has been received. You should receive an application outcome within two week of the advertisement’s closing date.

First round interview
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview with an interview panel, usually comprising three to four interviewers. After first round interviews, preferred candidates for teaching roles will be asked to alert their referees, and prepare for a demonstration lesson.

Final interview
Final interviews are conducted with the Headmaster for teaching roles and with an appropriate interview panel general staff roles.
Preferred candidates who interview for general staff roles will be asked to alert their referees at this stage, and reference checks will be completed.

Offer
After all pre-employment checks have been completed, the successful candidate will receive a verbal offer from Melbourne Grammar School. With their agreement, an offer of employment will be sent electronically.
