Each Melbourne Grammar School campus is a learning environment with permeable boundaries. Along with excellent on-campus facilities, students regularly interact with Melbourne’s wider urban environment to extend his or her classroom experiences.
Grimwade House
Grimwade House is nestled in the established, leafy suburb of Caulfield. Here students have access to learning locations in the city and across Melbourne, while remaining separate from the concentrated activity of the CBD during daily school life.
We progressively build students’ knowledge of the world beyond campus throughout their time at Grimwade, including outdoor education experiences in regional Victoria and interstate excursions in their latter years.
Wadhurst and Senior School
Students at our Wadhurst and Senior School campuses learn in an environment overlooking the Royal Botanic Gardens on St Kilda Road. Both campuses are just a few minutes by tram to Melbourne CBD along with sites such as the Shrine of Remembrance, National Gallery of Victoria, judicial buildings, the Victorian Parliament, the Tan Track, the Melbourne Cricket Ground and AAMI park. We also access performing arts venues such as the Malthouse Theatre for School productions and similar activities.
All these spaces are integrated into our lessons and co-curricular activities, from sports practice sessions to theatrical performances, ensuring students are able to leverage off the experiences the City of Melbourne has to offer.
