As a strong academic school with excellent VCE outcomes, we are proud of our students’ achievements and their persistence in working towards their goals after graduation. Melbourne Grammar School has been home to Prime Ministers and State Premiers together with leaders across all industries and fields of endeavour, from politics to performance, from business to medicine, and from art to engineering.
We recognise that exam results are only part of the picture. While celebrating consistently good VCE results, we also value our students’ achievements in terms of their community contributions, their courage in facing challenges, and their integrity as people.
Local and international study opportunities
Our graduates have gone on to full-time study at some of the world’s leading tertiary institutions including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford and Yale.
Most students choose to remain in Melbourne to complete degrees at institutions such as the University of Melbourne, Monash University and RMIT, often complementing their studies with a period of study abroad. There are others who move interstate, with recent graduates studying at ANU, University of Sydney and Bond University.
In recent years, graduates have enrolled in a wide range of tertiary courses, including, but not limited to the disciplines of Commerce, Medicine, Law, Arts, Science, Education, Engineering, Architecture and Creative Arts.
Non-traditional pathways
We recognise that not every Year 12 student at Melbourne Grammar will follow a traditional career path. Many of our graduates have had a unique journey to success. From AFL players to business entrepreneurs to theatrical performers, we help these students to pursue their ambitions by providing knowledge of the options available to them and advice on how to approach the next steps.
