Practical work is an important component of our Science curriculum. In addition to building scientific knowledge through a 'hands-on' approach, experimental predictions, observations and testing all serve to develop creative and innovative ways of thinking.
This is why our Science Laboratories are flexible, well-equipped places purpose-built for young adolescents enabling students to explore scientific concepts and discoveries in differing ways.
Similarly, our Design Technology Laboratory includes a design computer lab, together with full construction facilities. Students are able to explore and create design possibilities in the areas of woodwork, metalwork, electronics, plastic moulding, three dimensional printing, and more.
Science and Design Technology are core subjects in Years 7 and 8.
