The EH Flack Scholarship recognises a prospective boarding student entering Year 7, 9, 10 or 11 who demonstrates strong intellectual aptitude, leadership traits, and breadth of involvement beyond academic studies.
Since 1940, the Scholarship has served as a means of honouring the legacy of Edwin Flack (OM 1890) at Melbourne Grammar, by providing an opportunity for a boy from the country, whose parents would otherwise not be able to afford to pay for the first-class education provided at Melbourne Grammar School.
This Scholarship is means tested with shortlisted applicants being asked to provide evidence of family financial circumstances.
