This Scholarship is awarded annually to a current Melbourne Grammar School student who has demonstrated outstanding skills in individual and team performance in the Year 11 Inter-School Debating competition.
The recipient will also have shown excellence in leadership and in his attitude to the competition and will be committed to continuing his involvement in the Inter-School Debating competition in Year 12. The value of the scholarship is $2,000 which is applied to the recipient’s Year 12 fees in Term 3.
The Scholarship pays tribute to The Hon. Alan John Hunt AM (OM 1945), a long-serving member of the Victorian Legislative Council and a Minister in the Bolte, Hamer and Thompson governments. The award will support students who share Alan’s love for debating, and his exemplary leadership and character.
