Before and after school care

To make our families’ experience at Grimwade House as convenient as possible, we operate an Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) program as well as Grimwade Club, an after-school activity-based program at the school.

Out of School Hours Care (OSHC)

OSHC includes before school care, after school care, and a holiday program for Grimwade House students, across all year levels.

All activities are run at a purpose-built centre at Grimwade House. This is a safe and friendly environment where children can catch up on homework under staff supervision, as well as spend time with friends and relax in the ‘Chill out’ zone. We also offer a plethora of games and activities supervised by staff members. Students are provided with a light afternoon snack.

Before school care is available from 6.45am to 8.15am and after school care from 3.30pm to 6.00pm each school day. Before and after school care is available on a regular and occasional basis.

Each school holiday period the school runs a holiday program to support families when the school is closed. These programs are run through OSHC and are managed by the OSHC Supervisor. The holiday program typically runs from 8.00am until 5.00pm 5 days a week. The activities are wide and varied and can involve, excursions, incursions, sport specific activities, craft, movies, and themed days.

Grimwade Club

Grimwade Club provides a range of recreational activities and coaching to students in a friendly, supervised environment. Available to all students, Grimwade Club operates each school day between 3.30pm and 5.30pm.

Grimwade Club allows girls and boys to try new activities and continue learning without the needs for parents to organise travel to off-site classes. Supported by professional coaches and staff, students have the space and time to refine academic and recreational skills, discover new interests, have fun, and make new friends.

Each Grimwade Club session is organised by age and ability, and students can be taken to their Grimwade Club activity by OSHC staff or their parents.

Classes can include:
•    basketball
•    chess
•    coding
•    cricket
•    drama
•    football
•    gymnastics
•    robotics
•    sewing and textiles
•    skateboarding
•    speech and drama
•    soccer
•    swimming, including learn to swim and squad
•    taekwondo
•    tennis

Once students have completed their activity, they can be collected by parents, or taken to OSHC by staff for supervision and a snack.

Our programs are designed to allow families to try activities without committing to an entire season.
