A message from the President
The Old Melburnians Society was established to connect Old Melburnians and support the School. Importantly, we are independent and self-governing but we are aligned with the values of the School of today through regular briefings from the Headmaster, Philip Grutzner and the School executive. And we ensure that the School understands the Old Melburnians’ legacy.
Be part of the Melbourne Grammar School community
It is a powerful thing to return to the School and see what has changed and how much remains the same since your time as a student.
By becoming involved with the School again, however long it has been, you will find that the connection and sense of belonging is still present. Just as there is no stereotypical Old Melburnian, there is no one way to maintain a connection with the School or each other.
No matter how long it has been since you left the School, or where you are in the world, the gates are always open.
What we offer
Because we are a diverse, global community, we offer many different ways to participate, no matter where life has taken an Old Melburnian and what an Old Melburnian may be looking for.
Our extensive program of activities includes events and reunions, career development opportunities, and a range of ways to connect with other Old Melburnians, contribute your time and expertise, and support the School.
Having seen the impact of these activities first-hand, I am certain that a continued connection with the School and each other benefits Old Melburnians as much as it benefits the life of our School. There is a sense of shared values, mutual support, and generosity across our community and it shows. Involvement is deeply rewarding.
