Old Melburnian women

When coeducation first began at Grimwade House in 1979, it marked a new chapter in Melbourne Grammar’s long history. Today, we proudly celebrate a community of over 1,000 female Old Melburnians.

We often hear Old Melburnian women reflect on the lasting impact of their time at Melbourne Grammar, the close friendships they have maintained, and the values of service, excellence, compassion and integrity that have shaped their choices throughout their lives.

Opportunities for Old Melburnian women

The Old Melburnians Council is committed to making Old Melburnian women feel welcome as valued members of the community.

Penny Apted (OM 1994) leads a dedicated Council Subcommittee that focuses on building connections with girls and women who attended Grimwade House. “Our goal is to ensure every Old Melburnian feels a continued sense of belonging, no matter where life takes them. We look forward to welcoming Old Melburnian women, as we continue to support and engage with this wonderful community.”

Throughout the year, Old Melburnian women will receive news, invitations to events and initiatives including reunions, mentoring, networking and career development opportunities. If you belong to this community, you’ll be personally welcomed, encouraged to join in, so you can continue your involvement with each other, and the School.
