Excellent 2019 VCE results

Congratulations to the Class of 2019 on their outstanding VCE results. The School community is very proud of their accomplishments.

Six students achieved the highest possible ATAR of 99.95. Only 37 students achieved this score across Victoria. Five Melbourne Grammar students attained this result in 2018.

Congratulations to the following students who achieved an ATAR of 99.95:

  • Fedele De Campo
  • Yilin Feng
  • Jared Ling
  • Baoji Lu
  • Matthew Wong
  • Edward Xu

Forty-five per cent of our students reached an ATAR of 90 or more, placing them in the top 10% in the State. Fifteen boys received study scores of 50/50 in one or more individual subjects, leading to a total of 18 perfect study scores across nine subjects.

The students have worked extremely hard for these outcomes and have readily supported each other with kindness and consideration, warmly celebrating their collective achievements throughout the year.

Many students within this cohort have also taken advantage of the opportunities available to them at Melbourne Grammar School outside the classroom. Many have dedicated time and effort to the rostrum, the easel, the stage or the sporting field while some have worked towards improving social justice and inclusivity. At Melbourne Grammar, we firmly believe that a well-rounded education is the very best education and applaud their endeavour in pursuing wider interests.

Of course, the students have been led by an outstanding group of teaching staff here at the School - for some since their first day of school. Congratulations to these individuals for their professionalism, teaching proficiency, and genuine care for their students.
