The MGSSO's major concert for the year will present the colossal pairing of Beethoven's Symphony No 5 and Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No 2, with soloist Jerry Hui. These romantic favourites which bookend the 19th century will be heard alongside two iconic 20th Century miniatures in Terry Riley's 'In C' and John Cage's 4'33".
