The School enjoys a proud tradition of academic excellence, and we are pleased to offer scholarships for academically talented students. These scholarships cover partial remission of tuition fees and provide exceptional academic extension and enrichment opportunities.
These scholarships prioritise students whose families may not otherwise be able to access a Melbourne Grammar School education. The School is committed to supporting highly capable students to attend regardless of financial circumstances.
These scholarships are for students who demonstrate:

- Ability to make a positive and significant contribution to the life of the School
Application process
Academic Scholarships are offered on an annual basis to students entering Year 7 and Year 9 via the Annual Scholarship Exam. The exam takes place a year and a half prior to entry, when applicants are in Year 5 or Year 7. Following the exam, shortlisted students are invited to interview and may be eligible to apply for a means-testing.
