A prosperous new firm has been founded on the ruins of an old company, though it has taken the board six years to recover their good name following an embezzlement by one of their members. One of the creditors of the old firm took his life in despair, and his daughter has taken a position with the new firm in order to avenge him. 

Who is the culprit?

Old Melburnians and other members of the MGS Community are warmly invited to attend a Brighton Cemetery Walking Tour on Sunday 8 October 2023, led by our School Archivist, Luisa Moscato. 

Walk around the picturesque Victorian paths of the Brighton Cemetery (est.1854) and remember the rich history of our School at eight grave sites of community members who contributed to the School we know today. 

The Old Melburnians Society invites you and your partner to the Annual Bluestone Lunch, hosted by Thindika Amarasekara (OM 1991), President of The Old Melburnians, and Philip Grutzner (OM 1981), Headmaster of Melbourne Grammar School.

This lunch will be a celebration of alumni who left Melbourne Grammar School in 1973 or earlier. There will be time to share memories of your time at Melbourne Grammar and personal highlights since leaving School.

At the age of 22, in 1995, James became the youngest person ever to reach the summit of Mount Everest via the technical North side. Since then, he has gone on lead expeditions to some of the most remote and inaccessible parts of the planet.
