The School crest is a visual representation of what the School stands for.

Melbourne Grammar School’s proud history is displayed in its crest and motto: Ora et Labora (Pray and Work). The School Crest pays respect to the past with its inclusion of the Archbishop’s Mitre indicating the School’s connection to the Church of England. The Southern Cross represents the School’s Australian heritage and location, while the open book symbolises education and our students’ desire for knowledge.
