Welcome to Wadhurst | Melbourne Grammar School

Welcome to Wadhurst

You are here

Our dedicated middle school provides a supportive community between primary and senior school years, meeting the needs of boys when they need it most.

Wadhurst is Melbourne Grammar School’s purpose-built learning community for boys in Years 7 and 8. Our curricular programmes have been specifically designed for students who are dealing with a time of exceptional physical, social and emotional growth. The School’s core curriculum is supplemented by first-rate educational facilities, co-curricular programmes and annual weeklong camps, ensuring a well-rounded education for every boy.

Providing an intimate, friendly and dynamic learning environment, Wadhurst is a rich educational experience which will meet the needs of young men and prepare them to be active, dynamic and creative learners, well on their way towards becoming successful citizens of the future.

Although Wadhurst and Melbourne Grammar’s Senior School share the same South Yarra campus, Wadhurst is very much a stand-alone environment which has developed its own facilities, timetable and educational program. In addition, students at Wadhurst are able to access Melbourne Grammar Senior School’s extensive sporting and cultural facilities, including the impressive Nigel Peck Centre for Learning and Leadership.

Educating adolescent boys is very much based on the quality of the relationships between peers, teachers and parents. Parents are encouraged to maintain regular contact with the School and through various communications staff come to know the boys and their families extremely well.

We look forward to welcoming you to Wadhurst.
