Commencing his position in 2007, Greg Caldwell has extensive experience in educating young people, having been Head of Sandringham House (the coeducational Junior School of Firbank Grammar) and Head of the Middle School at Brighton Grammar School.
As well as earlier tertiary qualifications he holds a Master of Education from the University of Melbourne, specialising in the transition of students from primary to secondary education. With three daughters, it is no surprise that family is the focus of his activities away from school. Greg enjoys watching all types of sport and cultural events and lists cycling, walking, listening to music and travelling as favourite pastimes.
A message from the Head
The years between eleven and fourteen are not just the middle years of schooling but are also central to building a strong sense of personal identity.
At Wadhurst we help adolescent boys acquire life skills that equip them to operate successfully in the world beyond their families and close community. Our school caters for the overall wellbeing of students while continuing to engage them actively in learning.
Wadhurst is a personal, self-contained environment with broad educational and co-curricular programmes designed to assist our young people through what can be a complex physical, social, emotional and intellectual stage of development. Thanks to the generous efforts of many in the Melbourne Grammar community we enjoy magnificent facilities, while initiatives in curriculum and pastoral care are energizing our students to fully develop their talents in a safe and stimulating environment.
You are warmly invited to tour Wadhurst and see our unique Year 7 and 8 learning community in action.
